MALTA
In October 2024, Malta played host to a significant industry gathering, and VBX was proud to be entrusted with the organisation of this landmark event. The 2024 edition of the ECO Animal Health Global Poultry Conference, themed “Sustainable Innovations in Poultry: Navigating the Future,” brought together leading minds from across the poultry sector to explore the latest advancements and pressing challenges shaping the industry.
Held over two days, the conference welcomed nearly 100 delegates from 21 countries, including representatives from top-tier companies and renowned research institutions. The agenda was rich and forward-looking, focusing on key themes such as sustainability, innovation, and technological progress in poultry health and production. Beyond being a platform for knowledge exchange, the conference offered attendees practical insights they could take back and apply to their operations.
Outside the conference room, delegates had the opportunity to experience Malta’s charm and culture. One of the highlights was an interactive iChallenge in the historic capital of Valletta, where participants navigated the city’s picturesque streets, uncovering clues and solving riddles along the way. The culinary programme was equally memorable, beginning with a beachfront welcome dinner at Paranga Restaurant in St Julian’s, followed by a refined evening at Medina Restaurant in Malta’s old capital, Mdina, and concluding with a traditional Maltese night at the rustic Razzett l-Antik in Qormi.
As delegates departed for their home countries, they carried with them not just valuable industry knowledge but also a deeper appreciation for Maltese hospitality and culture.
