Managing Director
With over 25 years of experience in tourism, Chris has played a pivotal role in shaping the industry in Malta. At Malta International Airport, he served as Business Development Manager, driving the introduction of new airlines during the crucial pre-low-cost airline era for the islands. Later, as Director for the UK & Ireland at the Malta Tourism Authority, he was instrumental in repositioning the Maltese Islands as a vibrant, youthful destination in the UK market.
A founding member of VenuesBX in 2018, Chris brings a wealth of expertise in event planning and coordination across diverse destinations. His deep understanding of the evolving events industry ensures clients benefit from tailored advice, whether for a one-day event or a complex multi-day program in Malta or abroad.

Managing Partner
Born and raised in Malta, Darren’s journey in hospitality began with his family’s restaurant business, where he cultivated a deep understanding and passion for the industry’s core principles. Building on this foundation, Darren pursued his studies at the Institute of Tourism Studies in Malta and London, setting the stage for a global career. His seven years at Emirates Airlines in Dubai provided him with invaluable insights into international hospitality, honing his ability to meet the diverse needs of a multicultural industry.
With over 15 years of experience in the events sector, Darren has collaborated with numerous renowned international brands. Recently, he achieved a master’s degree in project management, specialising in sustainable MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) tourism. Committed to innovation and sustainability, Darren is dedicated to delivering eco-conscious projects that elevate guest experiences and set new benchmarks in the industry.
